Pastoral Life

A School in Pastoral Mission: Faith That Becomes Life

“Only the person who experiences everyday life with meaning enjoys a subjective sense of inner well-being.”

— Torralba, Spiritual Intelligence

At Liceo Hermano Miguel La Salle, we live pastoral care as a daily journey of meaning, inner life, and service. We want every student and family to discover that faith enlightens life and guides us toward the common good.

Our Lasallian Pastoral Identity

We are a network of Lasallian communities and schools committed to the diverse expressions of the Kingdom of God, transforming society through education inspired by Lasallian tradition. Our pastoral mission:

Begins with a Christian vision of reality

Seeks the holistic development of each person

Builds fraternity and community

Promotes dialogue between faith, life, and culture

Lives with a passionate zeal for education

Maintains a preferential option for the poor

What we offer to our community

We design training and awareness-raising spaces so that each person can integrate three essential dimensions into their life project:

Pastoral Settings

Liturgical and Pre-Sacramental Pastoral

Focused on guiding individuals in their spiritual growth through formation, celebration, community life, sacramental experiences, and catechetical and liturgical education. It draws from the early Christian communities and Church teachings to help build a meaningful life.

Indivisa Manent Movement

"What is united remains." This Latin phrase expresses the value of unity as a condition for permanence. It also serves as an invitation: Let us remain united so that nothing may divide us. It is the name of the pastoral network for children, youth, and adults across all Lasallian institutions in the Bogotá District.

Children’s Pastoral

Provides nurturing environments for children to develop their abilities, take on responsibilities, and strengthen leadership through community experiences. Activities are inspired by Lasallian values such as respect, listening, simplicity, empathy, and trust—preparing children to observe, think critically, and act within their social context.

Youth Pastoral

Supports high school students in their personal growth and biological development, helping them shape and consolidate their personal life projects.

Alumni Pastoral

Maintains ongoing communication with alumni, encouraging them to contribute to educational and pastoral initiatives through their professional profiles and life experiences. The school continues to support their personal growth.

Staff Pastoral

Includes administrative, essential services, and security staff who, through their work and example, support the educational mission and receive formation in Lasallian spirituality.

Teachers' Pastoral

Fosters formation, testimony, and the lived experience of Lasallian spirituality in the vocation of teaching and guiding students.

Family Pastoral

Recognizes the vital role and challenge of guiding those responsible for raising and educating students. In collaboration with the guidance team, social workers, and others, it provides strategies and tools for family support.
